Carriage Mounted Spreader Bars - This particular kind of mast has three parts as the name implies. The outer section is connected firmly to the lift vehicle. The next section telescopes in the mounted exterior part and the internal most part telescopes within the middle part. Both the intermediate and the interior section elevate and the lift cylinders lengthen. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides within the interior section. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height compared to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like for instance doorways where overhead clearances are restricted. This particular mast is often equipped with a center cylinder so as to let the fork carriage elevate several distance before the mast sections commence lengthening.
The 2 Stage Mast consists of two parts. The inner section telescopes inside of the outer and raises as the lift cylinders lengthen. The outer section of this mast model is attached to the lift truck. The fork carriage is situated inside the inner part. This particular mast type has a taller lowered height than an equivalent 3 stage mast or lift height quad mast.
