JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started out on a cross country RV expedition. After spending many years establishing his family built crane company with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would bring forth the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling equipment was the end consequence of a road expedition.

Whilst on their journey, John spent time talking to former business contacts whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic event-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were traveling to the Hoover Dam- John discovered a substantial market for a product that could quickly and securely lift individuals in the air to accomplish upkeep and other building services.

Following their return from vacation, John set up a joint venture with two of his friends and obtained a metal fabrication company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting with a small crew of twenty staff, they fashioned and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates many of the basic design essentials of that original lift into existing designs.

JLG forklifts have come a ways since Mr. John L. Grove returned to town from his cross-country road trip and since the first aerial work platform debuted on the market. Today, the company proudly continues to expand itself into numerous marketplaces worldwide and develops new products to make sure clients are capable of being more effective and perform in the workplace within a safer atmosphere.
